JUDAEA. Aelia Capitolina (Jerusalem). Elagabalus, 218-222. AE (Bronze, 23 mm, 8.47 g, 11 h). IMP C A MA ANTONINO Laureate and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus to right, breastplate decorated with gorgoneion. Rev. COL AELIA CAP PI FE Facing quadriga carrying the baetyl of El-Gabal decorated with an eagle; parasols flanking; in exergue, branch. Meshorer 133. Very rare. A very interesting and historically important issue. Somewhat rough, otherwise, nearly very fine.
